In these interviews, Rebecca explores the tensions and unexpected connections between the language, Nahuatl, an indigenous Mexican language, and the land in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Rebecca Smith is a member of the Digital Salon Editorial Board and a 2022 graduate of UCLA's Urban Humanities Certificate. Rebecca is a doctoral student in the Department of Comparative literature where she studies 16th century colonial texts in Spanish and Nahuatl.
